Pronunciation Notes

This letter represents the nasal consonant [ny] that is formed with the tongue in the same position as for American English "j" (as in "jug"). It is the "n" that is pronounced in American English "inch", and is the same as the Spanish nasal [ñ] in "mañana" 'tomorrow'.
