The aim of this paper is to analyze the reduplication of Korean based on the morphological perspectives. The theoretic methodologies which have been applied to account for the phenomenon were in general related with phonological aspects. Many scholars attempted to explain it in phonological way, but neither of them seemed to be quite successful in analyzing the phonetic appearance within the morphological particles because most of them disregarded the main factor of causing the repetition of sounds. However, I am sure that reduplication could be comprehended completely and logically when we apply another theoretical approach, the combined framework of the morphological approach (Morphological Doubling Theory) and the phonological one (Cophonologies). According to the new-founded method the examples that are usually illustrated for the phenomenon can be rearranged in groups based on the morphological properties. Based on the model which will be described in this paper the problematic example such as ‘tek-tekul’ won't remain as an exceptional case any more. The analysis proceeded and developed in the following chapters will show that the proposed method is the most appropriate step for the reduplication.
